What did they need?
Capstone's myON®™ reader, a digital collection of interactive ebooks reaching nearly 6 million students, was growing quickly. They needed help managing an evolving family of Drupal-based marketing, educator, and customer support websites.
What did I do?
I made the platforms resource efficient and empowered staff to turn content around under tight deadlines. I implemented capabilities for various departments to track and manage content revisions, enabling a small and stretched team to collaborate in one central area through custom administrative tools.
Who did I work with?
I collaborated with content experts, marketing staff, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
I worked with marketing, design staff, and PR contractors to expose materials through managerial dashboards to enhance editorial oversight, automate routine tasks and integrate Salesforce and Pardot CRM connectivity. I made recommendations to improve content strategy tools, such as ways to cross-promote resources between sections and websites.
I worked with content experts to improve resources for educators. I built a Book-of-the-Day tool that highlighted titles based on a daily theme.
I worked with technical support staff to migrate their knowledge base articles online where customers could read updated instructions and tutorials.
I worked directly with leaders of community partner programs to implement daily changes on geographically-focused micro-sites.
What did I learn?
This was a good opportunity to integrate external data with the core Drupal database structure.
